Movement Principle:

The brush's center aligns with a vertical cone, transitions to an oblique cone (lifting and pressing while maintaining contact with the paper), and then returns to a vertical cone.

This mirrors the flow of Taiji martial arts—there is no visible beginning or end. The process endlessly cycles back to zero, continuously centered without deviation.

Practice Key Secrets:

  • Power originates from the wrist, guiding the tip of the brush. The arm and shoulder follow, while the palm remains hollow. The fingers exert minimal effort—just enough to hold the brush securely without dropping it.

  • Ideally, the entire body is relaxed. Writing for extended periods should not cause fatigue in the shoulders, back, arms, or even fingers.
