Graduating in 1994 with an M.S. in Architecture from the distinguished Southern California Institute of Architecture, Weijun Bao is dedicated to designing beautiful, functional spaces, from houses and condominium/apartments to medical suites and small retail stores, such as 7-Eleven. Her approach begins on-site, where she walks with clients, observes, analyzes, and envisions the project together. By engaging with the site’s unique characteristics and limitations, she fosters a flow of creative insights that shape a design seamlessly integrated with its surroundings.
With a focus on collaboration, Weijun believes in working closely with clients and end users to ensure the design process is as rewarding as the final product. Her goal is to create living spaces that elevate clients’ lifestyles, offering value in every aspect, from interior flow to external harmony.

A designer’s role transcends mere construction: it is to envision spaces that beckon the wanderer, inviting a dance of unforeseen connections underpinned by an almost organic logic that reconstitutes the very universe of the building.
The architect desinger, ever the connoisseur of connections, seeks out and forges these intangible threads, weaving together disparate groups in ways that might seem serendipitously ingenious. In this delicate interplay of purpose and chance, the most inspired social architecture emerges—a tapestry of creative bonds that stands as a quiet tribute to the world itself.

for example the glendale project, the client trapped by
regulation remains undetected until the design stage, already started to pay mortgage, 2nd child 5 months away, Weijun stand up ask city facing this invisible problem for all parties, serve the people who live in this city, love this city, trust this city.Eventraluy design review board and planning department massaged the regulations to make the project happened.
Design With Vision
RThat at the chore of a home is a place of comfort, family unity that echoes a course of security and belonging. The home is a place where your voice can reverberate, be heard, your presence acknowledged and embraced without bias.
As a designer I listen, observe with care and welcome with a sincere openness to your vision. Architecture, at its core, is the tangible manifestation of these intimate experiences. In our work, we craft spaces with a richness and complexity reminiscent of a film director’s meticulous narrative choices. Every layer is thoughtfully designed to invite exploration and encourage self-expression.
"I also strive for the homeowner a sense of comfort and wellbeing throughout my design development process.
For example the project in garden grove, with reduced unit on lot, creatively designed two separable family use space under same roof to meet the big family needs more needed in this noble hood. Project in Pasadena only relocate one wall + a door opening, created an open kitchen w/island +roomy family room, eliminate the shortcoming of small kitchen, big closed patio only use as a hallway, bedroom next to kitchen (wired location due to earlier remodel), only $250000 cost, include inside remodel, outside new garage, new landscape, partial new roof.. create more than $300,000 value at least after project finished.
Design With a Model
For each project, Weijun begins with conceptual sketches. Once a design is selected, a scaled physical model is created to help clients visualize the project in three dimensions. This approach brings spatial structure to life, fostering discussions and refinements that lead to the best possible design. Her goal is to shape a cozy, inviting space—not just a room filled with furniture, but a home with heart.
For example the project in Huntington Beach, we explored more than 7 elevation models, to recreate the house with Spanish tower entry/w inner courtyard, substitute exiting repetitive look.
